The Head of Marketing sought a fresh approach, moving away from traditional product sheets to engage potential and existing clients. I proposed postcard marketing using our new brand palette and style, featuring promotions and services. Postcards enhance conference visibility and foster emotional connections crucial for acquisition and retention.

In a competitive market, impactful postcard designs not only raise brand awareness but also prove cost-effective compared to other strategies. They complement digital marketing efforts, facilitating omnichannel campaigns and enabling easy tracking through QR codes and personalized URLs.

Illustrated postcards serve as potent tools to attract both existing and potential customers to a conference stand. As a starting point I began to jot down some general ideas of what I thought would work well as illustrations. Illustrations featuring people resonate deeply with viewers, fostering a sense of connection and relatability. Incorporating elements like the Earth, leaves, and symbols of sustainability not only align with the current zeitgeist of environmental consciousness but also serve as visual cues that draw attention. Additionally, portraying teamwork visually evokes a sense of collaboration and community, further enhancing the appeal of the postcards.

At conferences, companies often miss the mark by failing to engage attendees effectively. Illustrated postcards, however, offer a refreshing departure from mundane promotional materials. By bringing an illustrative perspective to complex issues such as sustainability, the content becomes more engaging and memorable. While illustrations may seem passive, they possess the power to resonate with audiences on emotional and subconscious levels, fostering greater awareness.

Moreover, illustrated postcards serve as clever branding tools. Unlike conventional promotional items like branded water bottles, which may be discarded or overlooked, beautifully illustrated postcards are more likely to be retained by recipients as keepsakes. This ensures prolonged exposure to your brand long after the conference ends. I designed 13 illustrative postcards, each serving various purposes, from engaging potential clients and reconnecting with existing customers to introducing new products, packages and services.
